Top 5 Biggest Mistakes Sellers Make Ad on Kijiji And How You Can Avoid the What Kijiji?

Kijiji is a website where users can place free ads locally to sell goods or services and it is a great way to sell items that you no longer use. Think of it as a garage sale without the garage!
Here's how it works:
To place free classified ads Kijiji requires users to create a user name and password. Once you have completed this process, you are ready to place ads and start making money.
When you place your ad, it starts on page 1 and when others place similar ads on your page, your ad moves to the bottom of the page and then on page 2, and continues to move towards successive pages. You've probably guessed by now that page 1 is where you will find more traffic and views so you want to avoid the top 5 biggest mistakes that sellers use on Gumtree!Examples of good quality photosSold in less than 24 hoursSold in less than 24 hoursSource: Bruce A. The seller does not include a picture of their element with their ad
Potential buyers will simply ignore your ad because they want to see the point. You would not go to your local store and buy a product if the sales person would not show.
Tips Photos:

The use of a contrast background for the item you want to sell to make it stand out (see my examples) against other ads

Take more than one picture and highlight the qualities of your form element from different angles

Use a photo editing software, the crop, rotate, etc.. to get the best quality (I've seen people use blurry photos or photos where I had to turn the head to one side!)

Highlight the information that can be attached to your point of sale, for example, labels, tags, etc..
Mistake # 2
The seller provides a vague description or gives little information about sales
You'd be surprised how often the sellers do not provide enough information about the items they have for sale. You do not want that! The last thing you want is to make the return trip with a potential buyer (wasting time) on information they could read your ad.
Description Tips:

Provide useful information if a potential buyer can make an informed choice. Avoid using subjective terms like "beautiful sofa and loveseat." I know it's hard to believe, but someone may not agree! Instead, offer the potential for use of the element, for example, ideal for a growing family.

Give an honest description of the provided elements: good very good excellent, average, etc..

The list of benefits (do not overdo it here) the potential buyer who will appreciate if they buy your product

Give the dimensions or characteristics of the element. For example, if you sell furniture most people want to know if it's right for them, so you will need to give details on the size. Come from a pet / smoke at home?

Highlight what sets your product apart. Is it high-end quality, supported by a quality brand? Maybe it was never used or rarely used.

Sellers the price is too high or too low
How the price of your item you doing?
The Pricing Of Tips:

Do your research by looking for similar properties to yours that are listed on Kijiji. If you sell a coffee machine for $ 100 and 75 other coffee makers indicated for $ 15 - $ 50 then, you're probably asking too high a price (unless your coffee maker that makes waffles too and is in demand as Keurig) .

List a higher price if your research shows similar items require higher prices. I placed an ad for a friend who was not computer savvy and he wanted 25 to $ 35 for his guitar case and extra strings. My research has indicated that more could and he did ... an extra $ 100 for 10 minutes of research!

In general, your point of sale should have a prize for the demand in your geographic region. An exception is for those of these items that are truly unique and rare and in most cases you can document the rarity or uniqueness of the best.
Mistake # 4
Vendors try to present a point of sale
Do not do it! You will lose the goodwill of the people you deal with in your area. I spent an hour drive time to watch a leather loveseat I thought was a good deal. I asked the seller before I left if there were traces of scratches, tears, tears, smoke, etc.. and he said he was a minor scratch, which could be easily corrected. A minor scratch proved to be a loveseat disfigured by his dog claws! Needless to say I will never deal with this guy again.
Seller Tip:

Give an honest description of the item for sale. If it needs work, say so. You'd be amazed how many people will buy stuff that is not perfect if you're up front about it.

The buyer and seller must both feel good about the sale
Mistake # 5
Sellers list items for sale that are out of season
You probably should not list snowmobile for sale in mid-July, unless you are desperate for money.
Seasonal Tips:

List your items for sale at the height of the season (or before) for this element

Check your local advice leaflets for the season is coming

Tell your potential buyers that they are getting a better deal than the local retailers. Why pay retail price for a new lawn mower when you can get a used (one at a discount?
